The Prinsen Hotel was located in the ideal area and what a lovely little hotel indeed! Equipped with all the necessaries, lovely breakfast and good service.
We walked everywhere and had no need for public transport. Being surrounded by fabulous bars, the channel and lovely Dutch traditions was just what we wanted! Red light district…. Space cakes… you name it we experienced it!

Mauritius - Le Preskil Beach Resort

Phuket - Seaview Patong Hotel

We had a lovely break in Phuket. The Seaview Patong is a superb hotel with great service. The islands were breathtaking.
The only regret we have is that we didn’t stay on one of the smaller isles like Phi Phi, instead of Phuket. So if we ever go again we’ll probably go stay on Phi Phi.
Other than that Thailand was great – we were busy doing fun things every day.
Everything you arranged for us worked out perfectly – thank you for that. Next time we go overseas I’ll be sure to contact you guys.

Phuket - Burasari Hotel

Phuket was just our best holiday ever. It was super, fantastic and wonderful!!!!! Patong beach where we stayed had such a vibrant and energetic atmosphere to it. We just wanted to do things, see things etc….
Burasari Hotel was also great stuff. Really really enjoyed our stay there. The people there are very caring and friendly. We went on a boat trips (i.e. James Bond, Phi Phi Islands etc….), went to a local boxing match, went to “Phuket Fantasea” (it’s like a smaller version of Disney World I suppose)…… Their shows are absolutely world class.
The only bad thing…..we should have stayed longer. I think one should at least go for 2 weeks or more…..so at this stage I just want to go back!!!!

Cruising Greece on the Navigator of the Seas, Rome and Paris
Hi Laura....where do I begin? maybe with thank you so much for superb service.
Regarding Navigator of the Seas, 6****** hotel comes to mind. We had a terrific time, the crew, the ship, the food, the service, everything exceeded our expectations. Ther are no time for sleeping, if you do not want to, wich I did not!!! They cater for leisure & old style glamour, I loved it. Glamour purrs.....
Rome is a must see, but take 2 days, not one, we did manage to see almost everything, our hotel was small, but lovely,
Paris in autumm, goodness, their way of life, their amazingly preserved buildings, the weather was not cold, not hot, just right, much more helpfull than Italy. A hop on hop off, I think is a must do.

Chaweng Resort in Koh Samui - Thailand

First of all: Thank you so much for doing this trip for us. Everything went 100% right and we had a fantastic time.
Thai air is just fantastic (compared to our Iberia trip). The transfers were there to meet us and the bus was spacious and clean.
The hotel was a pleasant surprise, with separate little bungalows.
Location was perfect! We made friends with ice cream vendors, massage women, the do nut and the corn sellers (as we supported them everyday). Thai people being so sweet and gentle in nature - all agreed we could go back year after year!!
We hired scooters, cruised the island, took piccies of elephant riding and tiger and leopard cubs, we ate at different restaurants every night, loved the pool and the balmy sea. We shopped and bartered and the kids had a ride on the banana (behind boat in the sea). We wanted to do it all, but time was running out too quick!
Bangkok was just as nice! With the train line now fully operational from airport to city, it was a breeze getting back and forth. The new line is absolutely wonderful. Clean, fast, safe and cheap!
Then we hit the markets BIG TIME. Shopped till we had no more hands to carry it. We had dinner in a lovely Italian restaurant as a farewell to our THAI trip.
Flight back was as good as always - I wish Thai air flew to Europe from SA!! The seats have so much legroom and the interactive TV at every seat is a blessing, not just to mothers with kids, but for each person on the flight who cannot sleep sitting upright.
So all and all, Laura, it was a week we all needed, enjoyed and want to repeat again SOON!!

Like I said on the phone today, it was AWESOME, but way too short! Loved the hotel, very friendly staff would recommend it to anyone, bit far to walk from the beach or Jung ceylon with lots of shopping, but there was always a taxi or tuk tuk not too far away. Weather was great, only had rain the day way left, Thai people were great, food was great loved EVERY minute of it! Many thanks for a holiday I'll never forget!

Seychelles - Berjaya Praslin Resort

We enjoyed our break in the Seychelles tremendously. The Seychelles turned out to be much cheaper than I envisaged. We could buy SA wine at the shops or much cheaper than we could here in SA. The hotel itself was situated centrally and within walking distance from restaurants and shops and on the beachfront. We could take a stroll in the evening to a number of fine restaurants. The hotel room was spacious and had a fridge in it that we could utilize to store fruit and beer in that was brought at one of the shops nearby. I will definitely consider taking my kids there on a next occasion for a family holiday as I believe that one would be able to do it at the same price or even cheaper than Mauritius.

Bali - Bali Rani Hotel

Bali was amazing.The weather was good all around and we really had a great time.The people that collected us form the airport and took us back to the airport were really friendly and great company.
The Bali Rani Hotel and its staff were also amazing. They were so friendly and accommodating.Breakfast at the hotel daily was a real treat.All in all the experience was one that we will never forget.

We had a great time and as I thought – Phuket was a winner again. I am happy we decided to go with Sunset Beach again as it is such a relaxing place to be, and just what we needed. Thank you for ensuring we had the room requested as Chloe loved having easy access to the swimming pool. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and helpful and really go out of their way to make your holiday great. We truly loved every day and will definitely go back.
I will definitely recommend Computravel to anyone looking to travel as you have booked both our trips for the past 2 yrs and they have both been a success. All the hassle and stress was taken away and all we needed to do was enjoy our time away (from the airport transfers, upgrading of our accommodation to our late check out was all sorted before we arrived.

Mauritius - Heritage Le Telfair Hotel Golf & Spa Resort
Hello Laura.
Thank you for your help (trying to extend our stay) while we were in Mauritius.
We decided to come back on the scheduled date due to the high costs for the change in flights.
I know I’ve already given you partial feedback, but the hotel, Heritage Le Telfair, was superb in terms of their service!
From arrival to departure, to the finest touches added by our personal Butler, we were treated like VIPs!
The extras are very prices (from snacks to drinks), so we would recommend at least half-board packages for anyone visiting.
Oh – and the boat-house at the C-Club on the other side of Le Telfair (opposite side to Awali) offers a whole host of
water activities (including free glass-bottom boat trips 2x daily), so be sure to mention this to your future travellers.
The Mauritius Rupee was about 4 – R1 and it cost about MR 600 to take a taxi to the closest town (15 min drive) to draw some cash.
A 9 ∏ hour day tour with a private taxi to Port Louis Waterfront, Coloured Earths, Waterfall, Volcano, Scenic Spot, temple & 1 other,
was MR 4,800 and we had to pay entry at one place (about R 30).
The golf is very expensive and even though we got complimentary games (due to having a suite at the hotel), the cart hire still cost about
R800 per day – which is very high, as it’s under R200 locally. Eddie played at another course in Tamarina and it was just about R 1,200
for the game and the cart hire, but he says the course was not as nice as Le Telfair’s.
Overall, a really lovely holiday in a superb hotel, thank you! & thank you once again for your assistance with everything.

Maldives - Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, Lily Beach Resort, Banyan Velaa Yacht & Dubai

I've still been settling in at work trying to bring my mind back from the Maldives.
Thanks for all the arrangements, everything was perfect. We never had any problems, just 'n little delay in our flight back to Dubai which almost made us miss a reservation at the Burj Al Arab. Luckily we eventually made it just in time.
The Maldives was amazing, think we'll have to make this an annual holiday. Banyan Tree was for me the pick of the two resorts, but I almost think Alida preffered Lily Beach. The trip on the Banyan Vellaa was also amazing, we caught some nice fish and did some very good diving. The snorkeling at Lily was also very good, I dived with a whale shark and we did some night fishing. Alida took about 4500 photo's while we were on honeymoon.
I'll be in contact when we want to book our next holiday. Think we're allready looking at going to Thailand maybe later this year.

I thought I would just send you this mail to update you on my recent trip to Las Vegas, New York and Ottowa....
Firstly, I would like to thank you for the efficient bookings that you made.... everything went like clockwork.... except for the interference of the snow storms in the US which was beyond everyone’s control. I had a few cancelled flights on the way home and it took me almost 4 days to get from Ottowa via Atlanta to Jhb. I had to spend two nights in Detroit and then my flight from there to Atlanta was redirected via Raleigh where I had a 10min transfer from one plane to the next and, because of the very short transfer time, my luggage got delayed and eventually only arrived in Jhb a day after I got home. However, I must point out that Delta Airlines were fantastic and very helpful and arranged everything for me so I have absolutely no complaints.
LAS VEGAS..... Luv’d it, Luv’d it, Luv’d it.... an awesome place, nice people and staying at the Bellagio was fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone and I will definitely be revisiting there in the future. Also, I was lucky enough to win enough money in the casino that paid for my whole trip.... how lucky can you be....
NEW YORK..... Fortunately, I arrived there a day after the airports had reopened after the severe snow storm they had. JFK was still in chaos and very disorganised, I was eventually picked up and taken to the hotel. The hotel was a bit of a let down after spending time at the Bellagio. So I requested them to change me to a more suitable room which was a 1000 times better and I just paid the difference. Thereafter, my stay in New York went very smoothly and I enjoyed every minute of it.... even the cold. I did all the normal tourist things and LOTS of shopping. I also experienced New Years Eve in Time Square which was awesome.
OTTOWA..... What a beautiful quaint city this was. It was very cold and snowed constantly but I enjoyed my time there with a few friends.
Once again, thanks for making my holiday an occasion to remember.

Just to say thank you so much for organizing us the Vietnam package! We had a super holiday and loved the airline as well as the hotel that was included in the package. Overall it was an amazing trip!

Mauritius - Le Telfair Resort

Our holiday was fantastic, fantastic, fantastic.. We enjoyed every minute. The hotel was absolutely perfect. Our room was beautiful and the staff (especially our Lady Butler Reena) were wonderful. Our room was also down at the end of the resort and very quiet which was perfect for us. The resort is absolutely spotless in all areas, from the beautiful gardens to the beach and the room.The general manager came and welcomed us when we arrived which was a really nice touch. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the main restaurant - Annabels - was not a buffet every night. They did have buffet a few times, but very different elegant ones. The other days they had different set menus. Also you could get a voucher for Rp 750-00 per person and use this at any of the other restaurants at Le Telfair and at the 3 restaurants at the Awali resort next door (which was a lovely short walk down the beach - or if you were feeling lazy a shuttle ride). This did require a supplement charge, but it was worth it. The drinks are a bit pricy, but not as bad as we thought they would be. There was live music every evening in the Cavendish bar which was very pleasant.
We were very lucky with the weather - it did rain a bit, and we had one overcast morning, and it is a bit windy down south there, but this makes it not as hot on the beach and we found it very pleasant.
I would highly recommend Le Telfair and if I ever get the chance would go back there in a heartbeat.

Phuket - Patong Beach Hotel & Bangkok - Indra Regent Hotel

We had a stunning time in Thailand. Everything was great and we were pleased that all our travel between the 2 cities, airports etc was so fluid and well organised.
The only thing is the Indra Hotel in BKK was not what we expected but I do understand that this was probably the best for our budget. If you are able to find an alternative for future clients it would probably be better, just to give you an example we had to kill 2 cockroaches in the hotel room.
Patong Beach Hotel was wonderful and I would definitely stay there again.
Overall I was very happy with the trip and all the arrangements. I will definitely be using Compu Travel in the future.

The Capitol Hotel in Malaysia was okay for a 3 * the unfortunate part is the location. The room was comfortable and clean but we would not stay there again.
I am extremely happy with the service from Computravel for our Asian holiday in Thailand and Malaysia. Your planning made it all so easy for us and we felt like royalty being collected from the different airports and having our hotel check in’s actually handled by the tour representative while we had refreshing drinks and used welcome face towels to cool our faces….wow luxuryJ

Club Med - Pointe Aux Cannonier, Mauritius.

The holiday was FABULOUS!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. We will definitely be going to other Club Meds around the world and highly recommend it. It catered for everyone from families, to couples, to singles and had super friendly staff and great activities. They were also very accommodating especially for my sister for her baby’s needs so that was great. The only thing we would change in going back to Mauritius is maybe try a less French resort, as at Club Med French is a very strong point in the language, night shows and food. But all in all, it was great.
Mauritius is stunning. We will be back (and will definitely use you and Computravel for further bookings)J The beaches are picture postcard perfect. Good recommendation!

Mediterranean Cruise with Celebrity Cruises

I’ve been meaning to drop you a line. Our trip was absolutely fantastic! We loved Spain and had a great time. The cruise was fantastic!! Definitely a highlight for me, as it was my first cruise! Celebrity is wonderful and I look forward to cruising with them again soon! The accommodation on the ship was very nice and the cabins were quite roomy, which was a nice surprise. The room attendant (Fatimo) would turn down the beds at night, with a chocolate on the pillow. When he would see you coming down the hall, he would open your cabin door for you. It was definitely top notch. The food was superb and we definitely got our money out of the additional beverage package we booked. I think we both gained about 4kg’s just from the cruise.
Thanks so much for helping us book the cruise. When we’re ready for our next holiday we will definitely call you! We’re going through our 6,000 photos, so I’ll e-mail a couple of good ones to you when I’m finished. J Digital cameras are both a blessing and a curse. J

Phuket - Banthai Beach Hotel

Just to let you know I was very pleased that you talked me in to the Banthai Hotel and not the other one, that I did go and see I had a fantastic time and the hotel is amazing and very helpful and friendly staff.

Phuket - The Seaview Patong Hotel
Dear Laura,
Thanks for the email. We had a wonderful holiday. Thank you for your excellent service.
Upon our arrival, the hotel upgraded us to a suite (lovely!!). I'm so glad you suggested we stay at Seaview Patong instead of Sunset. The beach across Sunset isnt grand. Seaview is a great location, is very convenient and provides easy access to everything. I'm glad you talked me in to it.
Food: Was great, lotsa variety.
I must admit we often preferred to order room-service at the end of an exhausting day, (especially on the days that we went on a full-day tour). The food at the hotel was great.
We went on as many tours as possible, even managed to squeeze in quad-biking/ATV and a zip-line.
The Big Buddha is still under construction but is absolutely breathtaking, esp the view. I'd definitely recommend it to your clients. On our return from Big Buddha we had a fantastic meal at one of the road-side restaurants. Can't remember the name (sorry)... but it's the first 'major' restarrant on the way down (a few meters before the "busy/popular one with the wooden chairs and benches".
We also enjoyed 3-bay Viewpoint, and Promthep Cape (at sunset).
Massage: I have mixed feelings on this one. They're a whole lot cheaper 'on the street' but dont feel as good as the ones at the hotel. It's probably got something to do with the expertise/training of the different individuals. I would recommend using the spa at Seaview Patong.
In summary, everything in Phuket was fantastic (thank you!!).
In retrospect, there's only one change I would make. I would include a stop-over in Hong Kong..
Laura, thank you again for your patience, efficiency and excellent service. It was a fantastic honeymoon and we loved every minute of it.

Phuket - The Seaview Patong Hotel
Dear Laura,
Thanks for the email. We had a wonderful holiday. Thank you for your excellent service.
Upon our arrival, the hotel upgraded us to a suite (lovely!!). I'm so glad you suggested we stay at Seaview Patong instead of Sunset. The beach across Sunset isnt grand. Seaview is a great location, is very convenient and provides easy access to everything. I'm glad you talked me in to it.
Food: Was great, lotsa variety.
I must admit we often preferred to order room-service at the end of an exhausting day, (especially on the days that we went on a full-day tour). The food at the hotel was great.
Airline Food.
We didnt have any problems with our special meals on Cathay Pacific. I didnt quite enjoy my meals on the return journey (Veg)... but Ren says his meals were fantastic (Moslem).
Weather was hot and quite humid. We were extremely lucky cos we didnt experience much rain.
We went on as many tours as possible, even managed to squeeze in quad-biking/ATV and a zip-line.
The Big Buddha is still under construction but is absolutely breathtaking, esp the view. I'd definitely recommend it to your clients. On our return from Big Buddha we had a fantastic meal at one of the road-side restaurants. Can't remember the name (sorry)... but it's the first 'major' restarrant on the way down (a few meters before the "busy/popular one with the wooden chairs and benches".
We also enjoyed 3-bay Viewpoint, and Promthep Cape (at sunset).
Massage: I have mixed feelings on this one. They're a whole lot cheaper 'on the street' but dont feel as good as the ones at the hotel. It's probably got something to do with the expertise/training of the different individuals. I would recommend using the spa at Seaview Patong.
In summary, everything in Phuket was fantastic (thank you!!).
In retrospect, there's only one change I would make. I would include a stop-over in Hong Kong. You'll see from our schedule that we:
Flew Dbn-Jhb (1 hour)
Waited at Jhb for a few hours (unavoidable)
Flew Jhb-Hong Kong (12.5 hours)
Waited at the airport for 6 hours (torture after a long flight!)
Then flew Hong Kong-Phuket (3.5 hours).
All of this after an exhausting Indian wedding (with pre-wedding and post-wedding rituals that span +- a week!! We were absolutely exhausted when we reached our hotel.
I think travellers should rather fork out more and get a good night's rest in Hong Kong... and maybe squeeze in a visit at Disneyland. I know I tried to stick to a budget when I instructed you... but now I feel like we went all the way there and didnt get to see HK. That is my only regret. Maybe we can change that next time around.
Laura, thank you again for your patience, efficiency and excellent service. It was a fantastic honeymoon and we loved every minute of it.

As discussed yesterday, I would like to go with option 1, which is the 5 nights Sakatia Lodge, 2 nights L’Heure Bleue, 2 nights Tana and 2 nights Perinet/Andasibe.
I would like to congratulate you, as I have been quoted by numerous tour operators, and in the end I chose Computravel based on the fact that you called me the very first time (none of the others did this), and also your willingness to answer my queries. I also got the feeling that I could rely on Computravel.
You can go ahead and prebook the flights. I have attached our passports.

Thank you! First day back at work. :-( We really enjoyed Madagascar. Jeanne described the honeymoon as a romantic adventure, which I think sums it up the best. It really is an interesting and beautiful place. Things did not start well as you said, but we used the extra day in Tana to explore the city. The Tana Plaza was also really good. I'll think about submitting a claim, thank you for the suggestion. However everything else went smoothly! I'll send you some photos once things have calmed down a bit, probably early next week. Thanks again for your part in arranging our fantastic and memorable honeymoon! I will still long remember the pleasant sights (and smells - ylang-ylang of Nosy Be) of Madagascar.

Egypt - Cairo, Nile Cruise, Aswan, Abu Simbel & Alexandria - 12 night trip
Hello Lindsay.
Once again thank you and all who helped to formulate our trip to Egypt. This is our report back to you.
The tour and all the arrangements went of like clockwork from the day we left Johannesburg arriving in Cairo.
The tour coordinator Tamer in Egypt, Ahmed the driver to Alexandria and Ramón in Alexandria and the return drive to Cairo.
They were excellent on time and could not do enough for the two of us. Regretfully I'm not sure of the coordinator in Aswan. The tour guides Andrew in Cairo, Mohammed on the Nile cruise and Mayda (curly hair) in Alexandria were excellent. They new their subject and explained everything in plain mans language which helped us tremendously. We used Andrew on our return to Cairo for a trip to the Citadel before going on the Alexandria. We arranged two extra tours Citadel in Cairo which is a must, and Roman theatre and the Fort in Alexandria. Mayda spent a lot of my money in conjunction with my wife at shopping 'ouch'. The two of them got on like a house on fire. On leaving Alexandria we asked to stop for something to drink before travelling to Cairo a four hour trip. We were asked a modern or old restaurant to which we replied "old please". This in the hubbub of Alexandria, down one of the many small streets we had Egyptian tea while our driver smoked his bubble pipe. I felt that this was appreciated by our guides that we were interested in seeing something else in Alexandria. Needless to say we passed many shops in the old part of town and had a problem stopping Mayda and my wife from wanting to stop and buy.
The hotels we could not fault excellent value for money management and staff very attentitive. Rooms, food and availability of reaching the tour sights easily accessible. The trip down the Nile was sheer joy relaxing, enjoying the company of the people we met on the boat. The accommodation on this excellent boat was great the best beds we slept on during our tour of Egypt. Egyptian evening went of well and almost everyone tried to be part of the evenings entertainment. Thank goodness no one tried to get us to join the belly dancer but then we had people who did.
The trip to Abu Simbel early rise 02.30 to be collected at 03.00 and a wait at the area of departure at 04.00 hrs. Trip and return trip total six hours was well worth the visit. Our trip on a Felucca and to a Nubian village very interesting but first make sure the wind is blowing. Make sure you finalize the price before hand at 50 Egyptian pounds per hour you do not want the wind to drop. The Nubian driver, to Abu Simbel, was a tall chap who could easily steer the car with his knees and enjoyed one song for six hours.
All the monuments and sights absolutely fantastic and one can go on and on forever. Curio sellers plenty but with our guide this really stopped all the problems of having to buy. How better can you see the sights of Egypt but by doing it the way we did. Yes we will do it again one day and this time we would like to move around the old parts of the towns. We have sent thank you e-mails to everyone who helped to arrange our tour in Egypt. We will talk about your company to all who ask about Egypt.

Mauritius - Blue Lagoon Hotel

thanks for your email. We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Lagoon. The rooms are nothing special but standard and clean, the food was varied and good and the staff friendly. We took 3 tours, so we were only for 2 full days at the hotel the whole day. All in all: a very nice holiday and Mauritius seems to be the perfect couple retreat location
We were particularly pleased though about your efforts, Laura! Quick and friendly replies and all in all giving us the feeling you really try and get us the best deal suiting our "holiday needs". We make sure to spread the word here and you will hear from us, when we want to do the next holiday!

Phuket - The Old Phuket Hotel

Just a quick note to say thanks so much for organising such a wonderful holiday for us to Thailand!
It was really great. Picked up some tropical rash due to an insect bite but thankfully that only happened on the last day so didn’t spoil the holiday.
Once again, thanks a mil for everything. We will definitely be making this an annual event so I’ll be in contact again soon I hope :-)

Mauritius - Sofitel Imperial Resort & Spa

Thanks for your mail...we had an awesome time! the hotel was beautiful and the beach was perfect! Thanks for booking everything for us, everything went smoothly with no issues. Just one issue with the Sofitel, they are not very stroller/wheelchair friendly. There are no lifts to get to the Chinese restaurant, only stairs, and this problem presents itself at a few of the resort areas, otherwise I think it was a great choice. We definitely have fond memories of our stay and hope to go back soon!
I have not downloaded any of my pictures to my laptop as yet, but as soon as I do, I will be sure to send u a few...I got some lovely pics of the hotel and beach which I am sure u will find useful.

Mauritius - Blue Lagoon Hotel

Blue Lagoon was awesome, and we had an amazing time. We found the staff to be friendly and the food was really good and in abundance,probably gained a kilo or two, the all inclusive package was really worth it, and we would go back to that hotel,any day. We were near the Blue bay marine reserve, so the snorkelling was a highlight for us and the kids. Took a day trip to Ille de cerf, and one day trip, to grand baie as well, has gotten very touristy since we were last there, walked around Le mauricia and we all decided we were glad we were at Blue Lagoon, even though it was more modern and revamped then Blue Lagoon, we loved the peace and quiet at oor hotel, and we would highly recommend it for families, for those that are looking for a fat jol or mega expensive shopping,then grand baie is probably better. We also took a morning trip into mahebourg village by public bus for the monday market, it was gr8 fun, and we got stuff there at a fraction of the prices at grand baie and ille de cerf. The highlight for us was definately the snorkelling which was close by and we could do every day. The only down side was the wind and weather, only two really sunny days, but we capetonians, are used to wind so we didn't let it spoil our fun, and the public beach on the other side of the hotel,was windfree and exceptionally clean, so we swam that side quiet often. All in all we loved Blue lagoon, and our family voted to go again, maybe next september 2010.
Will send some photies once we have caught up with life. Hope you had and awesome time on your trip, Angus will probably also mail you to tell you some tips we found for making the holiday rupees go a little further.

Phuket - Sugar Palm Resort, Kata Beach

Thank you for planning such a wonderful honeymoon for us!! We really had such a great time and I must also say thank you for your good service.
Before we found you, we went to other travel agents, but they never got back to us, so we will never go back to them, but will rather contact you.
Phuket is really beautiful and the staff at Sugar Palm Resort in Kata beach are really very friendly and helpful.
The Resort was great and we really enjoyed staying there.
We hired a scooter for a few days and went shopping in Patong (quite busy there - not really for honeymooners that just want a quiet time, but really nice for shopping and family outings!!).
We also went elephant tracking (which was great), learnt about their rubber tapping (very interesting), canoeing (part of the elephant package, but not
very adventurous as we could not do it ourselves, but had to ride with "captains" as they call them), went up to one of their waterfalls (not much of a waterfall, but I suppose it's dry season there now...)and then buffalo-cart riding (really not good! But we just laughed about it). This was all part of one elephant package and we really did enjoy the elephant part quite a lot!!
We also got a Phi Phi island package which was just the best!! We went snorkelling and "island hopping" for the day and also canoeing (nice because we could do it ourselves). Lunch was great and we really had such a great day doing this!!
Kata beach is really a very nice and more quiet beach. Very nice restaurants & little shops in the area.
We really had such a great time and will go back there anytime!!

Phuket - Seaview Patong Hotel

Yes we are back safely. Phuket was wonderful. We had lots of fun. Patong Seaview was a good choice. Both the location and quality was good. The NovHotel is clearly a cut above the rest. We enjoyed their seafood buffet on the Tuesday evening. Quite spectacular.
The Thai are lovely people and really work hard to ensure that you are having a good time. We would recommend Phuket and computravel to all our friends.

Review of Egyptian tour

Happy New Year to you!
Thank you for arranging the most fabulous trip to Egypt for us - we all thoroughly enjoyed it, and your operators in Egypt - were superb - punctual, caring, excellent transport and great guides.
The Nile cruise was fabulous, and I am so pleased we went down to Abu Simbel - incredible!
All in all, we found the sights awesome, the people friendly and amusing, and the weather great! - nothing can prepare one for Cairo's traffic though! - where the only rule is that there are no rules!!
The Steigenberger in Luxor was really very luxurious, with great facilities and position, the Basma in Aswan was fine - a bit of faded glory! - and the Flamenco in Cairo was clean, comfortable and perfect for a few days in the city- we didn't spend much time there. The Presidential Cruiser line is great - excellent food and service, and good cabins.
All in all, we really had a fascinating and interesting holiday, and felt that with all that was included, the trip definitely was value for money.
Oh yes - Air Afriqiyah was fine - they flew us Business class from Cairo to Tripoli, but then our bags didn't make the connection ---however, they were delivered to us last night, so it all ended well!
Look forward to a coffee some time.

Arabian Nights - Zanzibar

We got back yesterday.
It was a fantastic trip, really wonderful, and the ground operators provided excellent service – they were on time and very helpful and polite. Arabian Nights is also a great place to stay – I think the best place to be based from in Paje. It was central, quiet, but close to the party spots and closest to the beach. The rooms were beautiful and service was excellent.
Unfortunately Zanzibar had been without electricity for three weeks when we arrived, but at least the hotel had a generator which they brought up in the evenings so we could sleep comfortably and shower, etc.

What a wonderful holiday. The flight there was fantastic. We were met by
Mauritours and they were so helpful and friendly. The greeting at the hotel
was so warming. Laura the hotel is out of this world, I can see that there
are much more top class hotels, but this small enough to know every one and
is more personal. Maureen from Mauritours met me on the first morning and
we booked a few tours which was nice to have a bit of direction. Christmas
and New Years Eve were spectacular. The beaches are as they are in the
pictures. As you can see I even para-sailed!! The shopping was more than I
expected. We had to buy more bags. It was a holiday that certainly helped heal
our hearts and was so good to re-group as a family unit again. So thank you.

Sunset Beach Hotel is beautiful, the other one is shocking though (3* COPTHORNE ORCHID), very disappointed with it, and also the flight time made it rather tiring, perhaps we should have stayed 2 nights and then left the hotel at about 12 in the evening, cos we had to bum around the airport for HOURS! other than that i loved it, cant wait to go back!!!

MAURITIUS - PEARLE BEACH RESORT

First day back at work. Mauritius was absolutely awesome. The squeaky clean beaches, the friendly people and of course being from SA it was pure bliss to be able to walk around day and night without constantly fearing for ones safety and possessions.
Pearly Beach was most enjoyable. Rooms are clean and very comfortable and the view from the second floor balcony is stunning especially the sunsets. The staff was friendly and helpful and one of the staff members even brought us a Dewali sweets parcel from home (which we finished off in record time). Breakfast and dinner were good. All in all it was very good value for money.
At no point did we have any glitches in our travel arrangements and it was great to sit back and relax with everything being taken care off.
We certainly will go back in the near future (so we will be in touch).

MAURITIUS - LA PLANTATION RESORT

Thanks again for all your help. We had a wonderful time and La Plantation lived up to and in many instances exceeded my expectations. It was wonderful. The hotel was 95% full and even with the large number of guests the hotel didn’t stint on taking care of us. The all inclusive package was a bonus and well worth it and the hotel had no problems with the system which worked well.

Feedback:
Banthai: Awesome hotel – would definitely recommend this place and go back. No complaints at all. One downside is that if your room’s door opens onto the main atrium it is very noisy (Australians are loud at 4am). Super friendly staff.
Copthorn Orchid: This hotel sucks… seems like the main atrium has been refurbished – but the rest of the place is tired… room was a bit dingy and in need of some maintenance. Corridors and room had that old carpet smell. Dodgy shower curtains (I didn’t know places still had those) and odd water pressure. Was not bad for a short stay – Banthai was way better.
Singapore airlines was awesome (no surprise).

Review on Le Gemma Dell Est - Zanzibar.

We had a very pleasurable time at La Gemma, the first few days were cloudy
but it eventually cleared up for sunny days.
La Gemma is definitely everything we had expected and more and we would
highly recommend it to any one, not just "honeymooners".
I have referred one of my colleagues to you and he
will contact you as soon as he is back in SA, they are also interested in going to Zanzibar.

PHUKET - THE SUNSET BEACH RESORT

Samaad and I enjoyed every single minute of our honeymoon. Phuket is absolutely phenomenal. Their tours were exciting and the sights exotic. It is so nice to be in a place that is so safe and to walk around in the night.
The hotel was well situated; away from the busy Patong while still close enough (walking distance). We were in Bangla Street almost every night. The rooms were clean and neat and the service was good. We also really enjoyed the food at the hotel. I really do recommend this hotel, especially for it’s convenience to the attractions, however they closed the gym and pool room by 7pm and no swimming was allowed after 7pm, although they did not chase you away.
I have plenty pictures of the sights and if there is anything specific that you would like just let me know.
Thank you for the well organised trip. Everything went according to plan. We appreciate it.

Le Preskil Resort - Mauritius

Thanks for the interest...we had a wonderful holiday thank you.
Weather was good. Hotel was good as always. Spotlessly clean, everything in good shape & working order - gives the impression of being very efficiently run. Gardens, swimming pools & beach immaculate.Staff very friendly. Food a little repetative as is the case with the Mauritian buffets, but all good & fresh & plenty to choose from. Drinks were exorbitant, but we were aware of that & took a couple of bottles of wine with us & bought water & cold drinks at the supermarket there. The swimming area is lovely there is enough beach that although it was quite full, we never felt crowded.
Le Preskil may not be the most popular or publicised resort, but we find it to be pretty good value in it's price range.
The catamaran trip was lovely - their new catamaran is quite something. We enjoyed it so much that we booked the full day cruise for our last day. We were fortunate in that they charged 1/2 price for both boys. The trip was lovely as was the snorkelling & we even parasailed off a platform close to where they stopped to snorkel.
The flight was nice & smooth etc., cabin crew were very pleassant & new check-in system at OR Tambo seems to be a big improvement.
All in all, absolutely nothing to complain about (except for the fact that the time flew faster than a supersonic jet!!!), we really enjoyed every moment. We are just holding thumbs that the economy will be kind to us so that we may be able to repeat the experience next year.
Thank you for your fantastic service, it really is amazing & we certainly will not look anywhere else when it comes to booking another holiday.

Yes indeed, we both had the best Holiday we’ve ever had. Everything went well, Emirates is an excellent airline and the flights weren’t to full so we always had a seat open next to us which made the flight comfortable. The staff at the Dhonveli resort was really helpful and had a real commitment to try and satisfy there guests. Not only was the resort amazing, but 3 days into our stay they advertised a free upgrade to there 5 star resort, Cinnamon Island, 320km North of Male. We grabbed the opportunity and the next day they transferred us to Male and we took a domestic flight to Honeymandoo, the closest airport to Cinnamon Island. The resort was first class! I will send you some pictures as soon as we’ve settled in.
Dubai was always quit enjoyable, but a bit of an adjustment coming from the Maldives. I was amazed at what they’ve accomplished in only 6-7 years building wise, Kerry enjoyed the shopping and I enjoyed the site seeing. Our stay at the Highlands Hotel was very comfortable; the do however has a pub on the 1st Floor which kept us up the 1st night. The manager of the Hotel was very helpful though, he moved us to the 7th Floor into an executive room, and the pub was no problem after that. The extra night also worked out well, we stayed at the Sheraton on Jumareih Beach and saw a bid of the new Dubai.
On the flight back we got a shock when we checked in out luggage, our combined weight was 22kg over the limit of 20kg and we had to pay in about R4800.00. All and all we had an amazing time and I would once again like to thank you for ensuring, even though Exclusive Island Holidays let you down, for making our dream Honeymoon possible.

Everything was great, the accommodation was just like I had hoped and imagined it to be and more. The hotel, was so beautiful and all, I mean all the staff were so polite, professional, actually superb – everyday they all had a smile and a hello.
I was truly impressed. Thank you so much. We just wished we had budgeted for the dollars we had to spend, but all went well and I cant wait to go back and to tell everyone that that is the place to go.

I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and purse :-) We had an awesome time in thailand and was amazed time and again how well organized planned and smooth all our travelling arrangements were made.
The service was the most friendly and organized I have ever experienced. They treated us as VIP's from our arrival and their efficient service and excellent advice ranging from carbon monoxide exposure to trips and shopping malls made our stay in both Bangkok and Phuket amazing. Thank you again!

After a truly amazing time the only hiccup we've experienced were on our arrival at JHB when SARS questioned my mom and in the end she had to pay duties (20%!!!!) on her spending money she took!!! According to them we were only allowed R3000 p/p traveling allowance? Is that true as I have never in all my years of traveling heard of that?

We had a fantastic holiday. You planned to perfection, thank you. We did not know that they traded in Euros but that did not stop us. We did the White Sands trip to the city on the Friday, Saturday we did the undersea walk and fed the fish, it was awesome and on Sunday we went on the catamaran. It was good thing to take the all inclusive package.
PS. WE had visitors sleeping with us (Geckos and a big lizard) The lizard ate through a packet of biscuits that was still sealed.
